VOLUNTEERS
The 2008 Olympic Team Trials will be one of the most thrilling and unique events on the Oklahoma
River – and we’re glad you want to be a part of this historic event. As Oklahoma City’s ambassadors,
volunteers will offer our famous hospitality to visitors from across the United States.
VOLUNTEER UNIFORM:
Each volunteer is provided with a volunteer t-shirt that should be worn while volunteering.
Please do not alter the look of the shirt prior to volunteering. Shirts will be available
at volunteer check-in during the event.
Please do not bring excess baggage or valuables to the event, as there is no secure storage area.
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN:
Volunteer Check-In is located in the parking lot of the Chesapeake Boathouse. Please check-in
15 minutes prior to your assigned shift. Remember to allow extra time for travel and parking.
After completing your shift, please ensure that your replacement has arrived, and report back
to Volunteer Check-In to check out. This will ensure that each area is staffed and equipped.
PARKING:
-
Parking is free to the public but space is limited. Please try to carpool with other volunteers
to reduce the amount of cars needing a place to park. Remember that it might take a few extra
minutes to walk to the venue from your parking place, so please allow yourself this time so you
arrive on time for your shift.
