As host of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Oklahoma City welcomes athletes from across the United States to the Oklahoma River. The Oklahoma River has drawn international acclaim as one of the best rowing and paddling destinations for athletes and spectators. The venue offers 2.5 miles of sheltered water, including a 2000 meter straight racing course and the world-class Chesapeake Boathouse.
